One of the many choices you have is the fabric used for your sleeping
bags or jacket. Our modern arsenal of down shells far outperforms
previous generations abilities to breathe and repel water which
are both essential traits for performance down wear. We have a number
of different materials and colors in stock at all times which have
varying properties and weights, and thus different specialized applications.
The unique fabrics that we offer
are designed specifically to contain and protect goose down from
the elements. They are breathable to permit body vapor to escape
and have durable water-resistant or encapsulation treatments.

.8 Pertex Quantum is a fantastically light and strong fabric,
featuring a 20% mass reduction over our trail proven Quantum
1.0. Despite it's thin stature and low weight, this new contender
for the lightest possible yarn is still hardcore outdoor worthy.
A notably lighter hand, smaller packed size and a slight increase
in vapor transfer in an already highly breathable material
pushes this fabric to the top of the field. Same DWR+ treatment
as featured with all of our mountain class Pertex fabrics.

This 1.0 oz/sq. yard ripstop nylon shell is a super breathable
20 denier material from our friends at Pertex. This is the
best choice for down gear requiring the utmost breathability,
maximum durability and minimal shell weight. As with all
fabrics from Pertex, the robust DWR+ and exceptional softness
translates to high lofting down sleeping bags and top level
performing down jackets.

EPIC by Nextec ™: A revolutionary shell material for
down! At 1.7 oz/sq. yard, this polyester microfiber features
a unique and very durable water resistant silicone fiber encapsulation.
The result is a highly breathable, extremely water resistant,
soft and pliable material that allows for excellent loft.
This fabric is a quantum leap in performance for a down shell
material and is actually made stronger by the silicone encapsulation.
The best choice for jackets and bags requiring the maximum
water and abrasion resistance. |

| Our new multicam
1.55 oz./ sq. yd. rip-stop nylon fabric balances lightweight
with excellent tear strength. The NanoSphere® liquid repellency
makes for an ideal sleeping bag. The fabric has been processed
to reduce air permeability and increase down-proofness, which
also creates excellent wind-break properties for a bivy. low

Black
Our silky smooth 20 D nylon taffeta is built especially for
the lining side of our ultralight down gear. This is the perfect
liner for both a down expedition parka and an ultra light
summer down quilt. This new taffeta is 30% lighter than previous
generations of material and boasts a superior DWR finish.
A demanding role for a shell material, this strong nylon remains
nicely breathable with a fine weave and a soft hand. At 1
ounce per square yard it is durable enough for the long haul,
yet light enough for top level performance. We stock this
in black only. |

| Zeta multicam is a
breathable and water repellant lightweight polyester. It is soft and
supple and is face treated with a durable water repellant finish.
Zeta is a quiet and lightweight fabric best suited for hunting down
jackets. It also has low IR properties for night time utility. |
