You can use the Back Country Blanket (or BCB in shop talk) in many ways. As a summer cover for one or two persons it can be mated with another BCB or a custom ground sheet. when it gets cold, close the full length velcro and cinch the bottom draw cord tight and you have a really toasty cocoon for fringe season activities. And of course the BCB accommodates every possible condition between these extremes with equal ease. NEW for the 2013 BCB, we now use 3/4" omni tape for the hook and loop closure. less snagging, lighter weight.

The standard fit is generous and effective, but as always custom sizing is available. A few ounces of overfill are recommended for 2 occupant sleeping quilt use.

The many uses of the Back Country Blanket indeed extends far beyond the wilderness: It is perfect for car camping, RV-ing, cabin vacations and hunting trips. Some use the BCB at home as a spare comforter when not out in woods.
