The
SubAlpinist Mummy Sleeping Bag was co-designed with our friends
from the North Cascades Smoke Jumper Base, who were searching
for the lightest, most compact sleeping option for their jump
kit. The minimal packed size pared with the full protection
of the SubAlpinist meets their stringent requirements.
This concept takes full
advantage of our approach for lightweight hiking gear: Adequate
Minimalism. You will find none of the extraneous clutter that
often weighs down top-of-the-line products. The fit is very
trim to cut down on the amount of fabric being used, and maximize
heat gain from body core radiation.
On the SubAlpinist Sleeping
Bag we install Nunatak's unique 21" center zipper. This
location gives you full use of both arms while still having
head and back in the sleeping bag, a must while performing
camp tasks in foul weather. The center zip also provides more
effective torso ventilation, while allowing for easy exit
and entry.
